Zachary Schrag

Research interests: Post-1945 U.S. history; history of technology; landscape history; urban history, especially that of Washington, D.C.; The Washington Metro; riot control

Zachary Schrag received his PhD from Columbia University in 2002. His dissertation, a history of the Washington Metro, was awarded the John Reps Prize by the Society for American City and Regional Planning History. His articles have appeared in the Journal of Urban History, Washington History, and Technology and Culture. Schrag taught full-time at Baruch College and Columbia University before coming to George Mason in 2004.
